You will gain knowledge on how to identify the disease and its sequels, and this will allow you to show the patient how to self-identify conditions and understand the probable consequences

You will gain knowledge about the systemic implications that can cause periodontal disease, allowing you to transmit the importance of the treatment of this disease to your patients

Treatment approaches depending on disease severity
You will gain knowledge on how disease must be approached and how much therapy must be performed depending on disease severity. This will provide you sufficient information and the ability to explain the patient how the disease should be treated and how much therapy each patient needs.

Postoperative results and maintenance of periodontal health
You will gain necessary knowledge on how disease regresses after therapy, the results that we can achieve, and how to maintain the results in the long term. This will provide enough knowledge to identify which of the patients' teeth can be saved, and will allow the dentist to explain different prognosis to the patient as well as providing information of how their disease will behave after therapy and treatment.
